Meet Sasha Fierce.

Sasha Fierce was surrendered to the shelter in an abominable state - she was urine and feces incontinent, and had layers of both caked to her backside and down the backs of her legs. We immediately brought her to Firehouse Animal Health Center in Leander, where they had to sedate her to clean off all of the the grime and see the state of her actual skin and fur.

It was a mess. Her entire rear end was scalded from so much urine and feces build up to the point where the vet had difficulty finding her genitalia, but due to her incontinence she was still constantly leaking onto herself. The vet prescribed twice daily hydrotherapy sessions (running warm water over the area to keep it clean and encourage tissue growth), SSD anti-bacterial cream, pain medication -- and very, very tiny diapers.

After weeks of intensive care in a foster home her skin was finally looking better and she was able to be spayed and go up for adoption. The shelter paid for an additional surgery to improve her quality of life, and she now lives with our Board Member Megyn and is a healthy and happy and beautiful diaper cat.

Her final total bill was $728.44.
