Meet Alexander.

Alexander was not doing well at the shelter - he was emaciated and cold, non-responsive to petting and barely able to hold his head up. CKCF Board Member Megyn performed fading kitten protocol on him for over an hour to get him stable enough for transport to the emergency vet. Once there, he was immediately placed on heat and oxygen support and had an IV inserted so they could give him fluids and medication. He was treated for a terrible tapeworm infection and syringe fed regularly until he was able to eat on his own.

After a few days of fluids and IV dextrose as well as regular meals, Alexander was a new kitten! He was able to stand up and make his opinions known. He was such a charming fellow that one of the vet techs at the e-vet fell in love with him and decided he had a forever home with her.

Alexander’s total bill was $2107.87.
