Meet Bev.

This gorgeous girl presented with severe pneumonia and inappetence - she was skin and bones when she came to the shelter and struggling to breathe. A visit to Firehouse confirmed that the infection had spread throughout her right lung and much of her left lung, and a course of antibiotics and oxygen treatment was prescribed.

She went home with CKCF Board Member Ariana and was placed in an incubator with oxygen and heat support. Her medication worked quickly, and within a couple of days she was eating again and breathing more easily.

But her recovery hit a snag when she started losing fur around her mouth and on her toes -- she had contracted ringworm. After another regime of meds, she was finally given the all-clear for adoption! She now lives with her forever family.

Her total cost was $768.59.
