Meet Brooke!
Brooke came to the shelter with a broken tail and raging infection, and was clearly in a lot of pain from the injury. With CKCF's help she was transported to the emergency vet for aggressive care. There she received IV fluids, pain meds, and antibiotics.
After a couple of days she was well enough to eat on her own and was discharged from the emergency vet to a CKCF foster home. With additional care, she recovered and filled out - and began to explore, snuggle, and play. It wasn't long before she was cleared for adoption.
