Meet Moo.

Moo came to the shelter with two brothers and a sister, and unfortunately only he and his sister survived. While she was fairly healthy, he had an eye infection and loose stools and was extremely emaciated. A visit to the emergency vet didn't tell us much but at least got him started on antibiotics and eye medication, and he went home with CKCF Board Member Ariana to stay in her incubator with oxygen and heat support.

He visited Firehouse Animal Health Center Leander to follow up, where he was prescribed different antibiotics and an additional eye medication along with fluids and B-12. Within 24 hours he was already looking much better and eating well on his own.

He continued to improve, gain weight, and his coat became more glossy as he started feeling better and was able to clean himself.

When he was cleared for adoption, he went home with a family who flew all the way from Arizona to pick him up! He now lives with them and his new kitty siblings.

His total cost was $370.22.
